The Geo-Civil Department of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Salt Lake City, UT office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Water Resources and Civil, planning and design and can look forward to a wide variety of projects. The selected candidate will support a variety of flood control, water supply, mining, and civil engineering projects.
Types of projects include levee repair, design of hydraulic structures, mining facility design, landfill design, storm drainage and pumping facilities, and engineering support during construction.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conducting planning and engineering analyses
Performing engineering studies
Preparing construction documents, reports and design documentation
Undertaking and contributing to technical aspects of projects from feasibility to detailed design
Participating in multi-discipline teams involved with project delivery through all phases of project execution from conceptual engineering through construction closeout and operations
Investigating, developing and modeling of water resources and civil engineering projects
Participating in the development of proposals, engineering estimates and work plans
Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in water resources / geotechnical engineering
5+ years' experience in water resources engineering with heavy civil design / modeling
Registered Professional Engineer
Experienced in preparing Construction documents (construction plans and specifications)
Experience preparing Feasibility studies and engineering reports
Experience working with multi-disciplinary project delivery teams
Experienced in preparing Proposals and presentations
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Master’s degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in water resources / geotechnical engineering
10+ years' experience in water resources engineering with heavy civil design / modeling
Utah Registered Professional Engineer
