AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to expand our Water Resources practice in the Salt Lake City Area.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Work with a team of Project managers, Water Resources Engineers and GIS specialists in support of FEMA floodplain modeling and mapping studies, transportation drainage design, and other several water resources projects
Performs Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analyses to comply with FEMA guidelines and specifications
Perform one dimensional and two-dimensional floodplain modeling using software applications like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SRH2D
Efficiently work with ArcGIS software in support of floodplain modeling and mapping
Prepare project reports including engineering calculations, research, planning and technical engineering reports
Assist project managers and senior engineers in several water resources projects like transportation drainage design, and storm water planning and design
Assist in field investigations in collecting data to perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other related field
This position does not include relocation or sponsorship for United States work authorization.
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)
