The Program and Project Management (PPM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities, such as facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial facilities. We also specialize in large-scale disaster recovery construction and mitigation programs throughout the Americas. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives.
AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our design build services within one of our top government clients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Leads AECOM’s design-build projects.
Trains supporting staff and provides internal quality control and assurance.
Manages the day to day tasks on various design-build projects with a supporting staff.
Works closely with the Client’s Project Managers or representatives and builds a trusting relationship.
Works with staff and produces deliverables on time and within budget.
Oversees the development of the Master Schedule for the projects.
Coordinates all incoming and outgoing documents as assures documents are received and retained in Document Control.
Edits the front end specifications for the Design-Build Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, and coordinates all revisions with the Criteria Architect.
Presents front end revisions to the Client, receives comments, and amends the document, keeping a log of all revisions.
Reviews and comments on the complete draft RFP document.
Prepares the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) documents for Client review and approval.
Facilitates the RFQ and RFP procurement process with the Client by attending meetings, evaluating SOQs and Proposals, attending interviews, compiling scores, and presenting scores to the evaluators and Selection Committee.
Manages the design phase through the 100% construction documents and works collaboratively with all stakeholders.
Attends design review meetings.
Processes Request for Clarifications (RFCs) during the design and construction phases.
Maintains a record of design review comments and assures comments are addressed and incorporated into the design documents.
Oversees document control and works closely with the Administrative Assistant.
Assists in the review and resolution of issues.
Attends weekly Progress Meetings. Reports to the Client and assures meeting minutes are distributed.
Oversees all construction administration functions: Submittals, RFCs, PCOs, and COs and assures accurate control logs are maintained.
Oversees the PCO and Change Order process: evaluates, estimates, and analyzes change requests, prepares Potential Change Order files, Change Orders and control logs. Manages the process to resolution.
Oversees the reviews of the Baseline Schedule and provides comments.
Oversees the review of monthly schedule updates and develops independent schedule analyses as needed.
Visits the sites as required.
Manages the turn-over of all archived documents.
Develops future work for AECOM based on performance and business relationships.
Reports to the Vice President in the Sacramento Office.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) through CMAA
DBIA Certification Professional
Experience as an Owner’s representative.
Experience working with the State of California
