AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry Level Water Resources Engineer for immediate employment for the Sacramento, CA or Oakland, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Extensive writing of planning and engineering study reports addressing multidisciplinary issues
Includes support in technical meetings and agency briefings and negotiations
Supporting coordination with local governments, utilities, financial consultants, attorneys, environmental experts, and cultural resource specialists to document their concerns and identify engineering solutions to avoid project impacts
Development of water resources planning studies to include conceptual engineering, engineering economics, water quality, regulatory compliance , and evaluation of project benefits
Assist in refining alignment for pipelines, pumping plants, regulating reservoirs, and other reservoir facilities
Identification of environmental conflicts and development of potential mitigation measures
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
0-2 years relevant experience
Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
GPA or 3.0 or higher
Engineering economics and technical writing courses or experience
Water system or conveyance coursework or internships
California water resources experience
Understanding of water rights, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and other regulatory requirements
Excellent verbal communication and technical writing
