AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Archaeologist for employment in the (Enter Location) office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conduct archaeological survey and site delineation.
Excavate and document test pits and/or units within survey areas and archaeological sites of the project as directed by the Field/Lab Director and Principal Investigators.
Keep legible and understandable field notes
Provide acceptable field and lab-documentation.
Wash or otherwise clean, sort, catalog, analyze, and prepare for permanent curation all recovered artifacts as directed by the Field/Lab Director and Principal Investigators.
Prepare selected samples for specialized studies as directed by the Field/Lab Director and Principal Investigators.
Create electronic spreadsheets, inventories, and provide data entry.
Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field.
Knowledge of and/or experience with electronic spreadsheets, inventories, and data entry.
- 3+ years relevant project experience preferred with appropriate recommendations.
