Job Summary

AECOM ’s Environment Business Line is currently seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team of professionals. This role can be based out of any of the AECOM locations in Québec.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide geotechnical project management and technical expertise in support of AECOM geotechnical and environmental projects and proposals.

  • Work with other geotechnical staff to provide services for current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants and external agencies.

  • Carry out analysis and design for geotechnical components related to predominantly environmental projects, but will also be involved with transportation, municipal, building, and energy projects.

  • Work with the team on projects in Quebec, and collaborate on projects across Canada.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering from an accredited University plus 4 years industry experience since graduation in providing practical geological/geotechnical engineering services relevant to a variety of projects (transportation, civil, municipal, energy, utilities, building structures, and commercial) or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Bilingual (French and English)

  • Currently registered as a Professional Engineer (any Canadian Province or Territory) and can be registered within a year with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Strong safety behaviour

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering.

  • Strong written and oral communication (English and French) skills and ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Must be well organized, have the ability to manage multiple projects, and deliver on time and on budget.
