The engineer will work in the AECOM Water Business Unit on various water and wastewater projects including but not limited municipal wastewater plant, water treatment, distribution systems, and related projects.
AECOM is searching for enthusiastic candidates that are client focused, impactful, decisive and can serve as a role model. The successful candidate will provide design support, technical expertise, mentorship, client coordination and networking, business development insight, and work closely with senior project principals, various design disciplines and local project engineering staff. The position will involve working on projects for the state, local municipalities, federal agencies, and private clients. The candidate must have demonstrated expertise in wastewater treatment water systems in Connecticut or the southern New England/ Tri-State area. Must be able to support and provide oversight and leadership for execution of technical tasks. The successful candidate will have a project history serving as the technical lead on projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Serve as technical lead directing and executing work related to wastewater treatment, collection and pumping systems
Provide technical support to other projects in the Water Business Unit
Manage projects on a local to national basis
Support business development to grow the local and national water treatment practice
Serve as point of contact with clients
BA/BS and 12 Years or relevant experience
10 Plus years of Project Management experience with specific focus in wastewater engineering
10-15 plus years of Water, Wastewater or Chemical Process Experience
10 plus years of consulting experience
