AECOM Geologist /Hydrogeologist, Contaminant Investigation and Remediation in Rocky Hill, Connecticut

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Geologist / Hydrogeologist to join our Rocky Hill, CT office. Responsibilities will involve supporting projects of various size and scope in field and office setting in contaminant investigation and remediation.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Report preparation

  • Organize, analyze, and interpret field and analytical laboratory data

  • Develop scopes of work and prepare costs for remediation projects

  • Oversee and work with subcontractors

  • Work under supervision of a Project Manager or Senior Level Team Member

  • Work both in the office (45%) and in field (55%) on projects as needed to include a wide variety of remediation and construction sites

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology /Hydrogeology /Environmental Science or related field

  • 2+ years of related experience

  • Experience preparing reports

  • Experience with groundwater and soil sampling, and drilling

  • Capable of using Excel spreadsheets, word processing and standard office software

  • Completed 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current on 8-hour refreshers

  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Experience leading field teams and training junior staff
