The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Computer-aided design and drafting of site layout, roadway, grading, and utility systems using tools including, but not limited to AutoCAD , Civil3D and StormCAD
Supports report preparation, site reconnaissance, and communications with multi-disciplinary AECOM project team
Understanding and applying regulations to develop standards and theories necessary to carry out project design and permitting work
Organize and prepare reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and hydrologic data to plan and design projects
Incorporates schedules, budgets, constructability, and other project criteria into Civil design and layouts
Conduct occasional site reconnaissance to examine field conditions, drainage and erosion control needs, as built conditions, etc.
Efficiently employs standard techniques, procedures, and criteria while developing advanced methods to improve efficiency
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field
0 to 2 years of Civil Engineering experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position. Examples include software such as AutoCAD, GIS, MicroStation, and StormCAD, Hydrologic/Hydraulics models
Strong organizational, technical, and communications skills
Commitment to working efficiently to complete tasks within allotted schedule constraints
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
Experience in site development, stormwater design and erosion control
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work as a team member under the direction of a Project Leader on the civil portion of multi-disciplined projects
Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and Civil3D for civil engineering related projects including grading, roadway, stormwater, and pipe networks
Ability to lead and work independently on design aspects of projects
Familiarity with StormCAD and similar modeling software
Interest and/or experience in Construction Administration or Quality Assurance
