AECOM’s Construction Services are a group of client-side Project and Construction Management specialists and are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the growing team in Rockhampton.
This will be permanent role, with a key focus on major road infrastructure projects, as well as providing the suitable candidate with diverse opportunities in other industry sectors, such as Defence, Healthcare, Energy & Power, Airports and wider Transport.
Suitable Project Managers will then move in to a construction role and actively undertake inspections, providing cost reports and construction reports while managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with contractors, designers, and indigenous communities. As a Project Manager in AECOM Construction Services you will also be a key advisor to client and be capable of integrating client requirements into project deliverables.
The role of Project Manager in Rockhampton will allow a suitable Project Manager to work across various road infrastructure projects throughout Queensland, therefore an understanding of TMR standards would be highly beneficial.
Suitable Project Managers will work in a client-facing construction role and actively undertake inspections, providing cost reports and construction reports while managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with contractors, designers, and various Government authorities.
As a Project Manager in AECOM Construction Services you will also be a key advisor to client and be capable of integrating client requirements into project deliverables through strong contract administration and stakeholder engagement.
5 years’ + Project Management or Project Engineering experience in a civil construction environment
Proven ability to deliver projects on time, to schedule and to client parameters including a good understanding of project management frameworks
Prior exposure to delivering projects, ideally in road construction
Strong ability to manage, coordinate and deliver key packages of project works in fast-paced environments
Broad background and understanding of Contract Administration and working with State Government in Australia
Confident communicator in client-facing environments and an ability to engage successfully across broad and complex stakeholder groups
Strong ability to influence and confidence in negotiation
Ability to work alongside Project Managers, sub-contractors and clients to achieve optimal project results on time and on budget.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar
Suitable TMR qualifications or proven background of TMR projects ideal.
