Job Description
AECOM is seeking a full time Construction Technician III for our Diaz Chemical Superfund project in Holley, New York. The position is remote and can be based anywhere in New York State Only..
As a candidate you will have excellent communication skills, prompt and dependable with schedule and attendance. Highly motivated and capable of working effectively in both independent and team environments. You will have some experience with:
Performs a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activities.
Duties may differ depending on the specialty area.
Activities may include setting up and operating equipment; inspecting equipment; inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation; assisting with the building, repair, or maintenance of a structure or roadway
Relies on general to moderately complex knowledge of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish goals
At this level, incumbents normally can handle a wide range of relatively complex protocols; viewed as fully competent within the limits of experience
Works under general supervision
This position will also have the following duties, but are not limited to:
General construction support (equipment spotting, hand digging, pipe fitting, concrete, demo, and painting)
General environmental support
Sample collection assistance (soil, water, vapor)
Process pipeline installation and repair
Will be tasked with leading small jobs as skills allow
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent plus (4) years of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Must have a valid driver's license
Due to the nature of work, US citizenship required
Preferred Requirements
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
OSHA 30 Construction
First Aid/CPR
USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors
May be subject to client required drug screens
Operate gasoline and diesel-powered equipment
Operate equipment (i.e., forklift, skid steers, aerial lift, scissor lift, loader, excavator, backhoe, dozer, grader, etc.)
Pipe fitting and plumbing experience

Compensation
Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation NY locations only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $32 - $36/hr
