The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Works closely with other discipline engineers, architects, designers and project managers as a key team player within an integrated multi-disciplinary project delivery team
Manages projects on time and on budget with quality meeting client expectations
Ensures compliance of technical and quality standards
Promotes mentor / mentee relationships through the engagement of various levels of staff
Contributes significantly to the successful design, production, coordination and management of projects
Communicates effectively with clients and internal team members in the design and specification development of plumbing building systems
Ensures accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with established QA/QC programs
Ensures that engineering deliverables (i.e. drawings, specifications, reports) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related engineering field
5+ years of experience in building systems engineering, with a primary focus on plumbing system design
Proficient in AutoCAD MEP and Revit
Working knowledge of applicable local and national building codes
Proficient in the use of computers for making engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing
Must have well-rounded background in plumbing project design and delivery to meet various challenges
Strong written communication, presentation, and client interface skills
Willing to travel as required
Knowledge of sustainable plumbing design and basic LEED building practices
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
LEED Accredited Professional Credential
Ability to obtain Government security clearance if requested
