The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • The preparation of architectural engineering drawings and calculations related to plumbing engineering systems for commercial and governmental facilities

  • Delivers complete, accurate and coordinated project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contractual obligations

  • Performs field investigation for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents

  • Performs construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review

  • Works within a project team environment

  • Maintains and organizes all project related documentation

  • Coordinates work with other project disciplines

  • Works independently and make technical decisions based on company, client and industry standard practices

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 4+ years of experience with an architectural/engineering firm providing mechanical/plumbing drafting services, including 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) for commercial and institutional facilities

  • Proficient in AutoCAD/REVIT

  • Skilled in the use of computers for developing engineering drawings

  • Ability to take responsibility for given tasks with limited supervision while proactively developing standard practices and new techniques

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required”

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering/Architectural Technology or equivalent two year program

  • Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD)

  • Experience in development of architectural and other engineering discipline drawings such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.

  • Experience with revit add-ins (Dynamo, BIM360, Navisworks)

  • Experience in the integration of architectural and building engineering systems within a BIM model including clash detection

  • Eligible to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance if required
