AECOM Senior Planner / Scheduler, Medina Region in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Summary

AECOM are currently seeking a Senior Planner / Scheduler, to be based in the Medina region on a large scale historical program. The role will work in partnership with AECOM's Global Program Management business, which provides the structure, tools, techniques and process to deliver on this vision.

The Senior Planner will be required to take the lead on larger, more complex planning assignments. The role will report into the Project Controls Manager. This position will be site based in charge of a package (project) responsible for providing planning and scheduling support and assistance to Project Managers and other Project team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing pre-construction and construction phase master and detailed in-house programs.

  • Participating in contract administration.

  • Generating critical milestones for the construction stage for inclusion in tender documents through detailed discussions with the Design Manager, evaluation of interfaces between buildings/infrastructure.

  • Preparing technical tender evaluations.

  • Reviewing and analysing Contractor's baseline program, recommending changes to the program to reduce any milestone difficulties, minimizing critical paths, and identify interface conflicts.

  • Reviewing and analysing contractors WBS ensuring conformity with the Baseline cost and estimating structure. Develop/establish weighting (EWF), progress, KPIs, manpower and equipment deployment.

  • Advising and assisting the contractor in the development of the program.

  • Reviewing all contractor’s program updating submissions, making recommendations to Project Manager.

  • Recording and reporting the actual progress of the work versus the planned work.

  • Preparing in-house daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.

  • Performing field inspections to gathering data relevant to project progress.

  • Preparing and developing appropriate detail summary project control programs incorporating summary level contractor programs. Analysing and assessing key critical paths and the impact on program.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the Planning / Project Controls field is required. Applicants would ideally have worked on major programs in aviation, transport or mixed use developments.

In addition applicants should be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Primavera P6 Project Management Software.

  • Ability to develop, monitor and control schedules.

  • Hands on working knowledge of WBS coding structure, cost /schedule variance analysis,

  • Earned Value Management (EVMS), project trend, contract change and claims.

  • Working knowledge of Time Impact Analysis techniques.

Please Note: This role is based in a remote location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required.

  • PSP certification is preferable.
