Job Description
AECOM is looking for a Payroll Analyst to oversee employee’s payroll records within the ADP application and ensure all payments are accurate and timely. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of office and remote schedule and will be based Glen Allen, VA.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Processing for multi-states, reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors.
Checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time.
Prepare necessary paperwork and/or uploads for Weekly and Biweekly payroll processing (i.e. tax deductions, benefits, etc.)
Analyze compensation-related data
Oversee payroll transactions and processing, including reconciliations and balancing, along with backup to the Payroll Specialists
Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
Design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
Assist with report requests
Report to management on payroll issues and changes
Stay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax laws
Involved in special projects, as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 4 years of relevant payroll processing and analysis experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Due to nature of the work, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Having a CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) Certification is a plus.
Experience with ServiceNow and/or Workday HR is a plus.
Prior experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Coordinator or Payroll Specialist is a plus.
Deep knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.
Experience processing within ADP platform (EV5 and GlobalView preferred).
Strong excel skills, including using spreadsheets.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent customer services skills.
The ability to work under tight deadline.
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
