AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Engineer (Transportation) for employment in the Richmond Hill, Ontario office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in and manage multi-disciplinary teams in completion of planning, environmental assessment, preliminary design, and detailed design transportation projects oriented to municipal and MTO clients

  • Coordinate the preparation of contract documents and specifications associated with the design drawings for tender. Calculate tender bid quantities and prepare construction cost estimates

  • Assist with the coordination with utility companies to identify existing and proposed plant and review locations for conflict and required utility relocations

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutes

  • Manage projects including project team direction, coordination, monitoring schedules and budgets, and invoice preparation

  • Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public

  • Perform business development and marketing activities to current and potential clients in order to generate future business

  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation engineering or other related field

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Strong report writing, presentation, and verbal communications skills

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software

  • Strong knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as of Land Desktop/AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads, and MicroStation)
