Job Summary

The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Program Manager – P3 Advisory Services to a) provide day-to-day leadership on assigned P3 Advisory Services/Owner’s Engineer contracts in Canada and b) support the growth and development of AECOM’s P3 Advisory Services practice in North America.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Be a member of the senior management team of AECOM’s P3 Advisory Services Practice, providing strategic, technical and commercial leadership and representing AECOM as a senior accountable leader of the Practice to the marketplace

  • Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to our clients

  • Be at the forefront of helping advance the state of-the-art in P3 procurement practice in North America

  • Be a role model by demonstrating and promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally

  • On assigned projects, assure soundness of project delivery approaches and appropriate match of staff skills with project roles, and provide quality assurance of project work plans, processes, and technical products

  • Support the P3 services businesses across North America through strategic involvement in positioning, proposal/bid, and delivery activities

  • Collaborate with and build networks with technical and professional staff across the company

  • Lead and mentor direct report advisory services staff

  • Support Talent Acquisition in recruiting advisory services resources, as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • 15+ years of experience

  • Must have an exemplary understanding of the P3/AFP models and experience in delivery of projects in the AFP/P3 market

  • Previous role in a management or technical role within an AFP/P3 agency, AFP/P3 consultant advisory team, or AFP/P3 bid side team

  • Engineering, construction, or operations experience with extensive focus on railway, commuter, and transit projects

  • Experience as Project Manager on a large (>$500-million) transit and/or highway infrastructure projects

  • Proficiency with project management processes

  • Experience with preparing, negotiating and managing contractual agreements combining complex commercial, technical, and financial matters

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments

  • Ability to work independently, strong negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Skilled in technical and contract writing and preparing and delivering presentations to senior management in client agencies, consultants, and third party stakeholders

  • Influential in the P3/AFP space and skilled in building trust with the most senior levels of client organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Institute

  • Active involvement in railway related industry organizations
