Job Summary

AECOM Chile is in need of a Cost Planning & Estimating Supervisor to support a major technology design and construction project in Santiago, Chile.

The primary functions will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • The Cost Planning & Estimating Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the project cost planning & estimates are delivered in accordance with specifications, processes, and best industry practices. Key points of emphasis include:

  • Ensure project estimate requests are submitted to support funding exercises.

  • Coordinate with the Project Scheduler to ensure lead times are incorporated into the project schedule.

  • Monitor the cost estimate progress and manage to ensure completion that meets timing requirements. Review and provide input to all estimates prepared by the central team.

  • Identify and estimate local conditions and ensure inclusion in all cost estimates.

  • Maintain the project budget, inclusive of all contract and payment status log for all

  • contracts held directly by the Owner, with the Owner’s project controls team, both

  • regionally and at a corporate level. This includes reconciliation of the capital budget at

  • the completion of the Project. The intent is to act as a facilitator to transfer information from various project teams to the centralized project service group.

  • Coordinate with Owner’s project control team to facilitate process and data transfer

  • between central services group and the Owner and GC and troubleshoot issues in accuracy or process as an agent for the Owner.

  • Ensure GC estimate is compliant and in alignment with Client standards and processes. Coordinate review of the GC Estimates with sufficient time for review and agreement by all parties.

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree as an Electrical, Industrial or Civil Engineer

  • Minimum four (4) years in a similar position within a large design and construction project of industrial technology project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum six (6) years of experience in Cost Control position in large scale construction project

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
