AECOM Junior Environmental Consultant, Geologist in Poznan, Poland

Supports more senior members of the team to gain all round experience to develop their career within Environment and gain professional qualifications.
Assists the remediation team with current soil and groundwater projects;
Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
Coordinates with lab and other subcontractors for routine technical tasks and some project specific tasks under supervision
Understands field procedures and follows them; makes measurements and observations in the field and keeps notes as specified by procedures
Collects and enters fieldwork data and occasionally applies technical principles and theories under close supervision
Assists with research which will involve reviewing scientific data, European Directives and Polish soil and groundwater regulations and disseminating the information to the project team.
Obtains information needed for producing subcontractor bids under supervision. Undertakes initial reporting under close supervision of senior staff
Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
Collects and enters data, and applies technical principles and theories.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.
Specific Skills Required:
Ability to apply knowledge to understand and solve problems in the context of a client's needs.
Ability to communicate internally and externally through written and verbal means.
Ability to discover, critically review and evaluate new information in the context of the project objectives and regulatory environment.
Ability to look at issues from both a broad and detailed perspective, locating errors and logical inconsistencies in cross disciplinary work.
Ability to leverage existing knowledge and principles to efficiently add value to the project team, the client and/or the organization in general.
Very good English language skills (speaking and writing)
Software literacy: Excel, Word, Power Point
- Degree or Master’s Degree in geology or hydrogeology.
