AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer with experience in rail and/or highway design for employment in the Portland office to work in an established Transit/Transportation engineering group, serving regional and national transit and municipal clients.
Project types include a wide variety of disciplines including roadway design, track design, transportation and multi-modal planning, transit planning and design, traffic signals, safety audits, bridges, railroads, and others. Projects also include general civil infrastructure type projects for multiple states, local and federal government agencies across the Pacific Northwest region and nationally. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated individuals that are interested in a broad variety of clients, project types and alternative delivery strategies.
It is also an opportunity to work collaboratively with others within the Pacific Northwest region transportation business line and other offices across the United States.
- BA / BS plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience with designs and plans production for transportation/ civil infrastructure projects including calculations.
Prior experience designing roadways for transportation projects.
Experience and ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
Experience using InRoads and/or Civil 3D design software packages for the conceptual and detailed design of horizontal and vertical alignments, sections, and 3D modeling on rail and/or highway projects.
Must be able to communicate effectively; verbal and written.
