AECOM Mid-Level Structural Bridge Engineer in Portland, Maine

AECOM currently has an opportunity for a Bridge Engineer to join the growing team of professionals in our Transportation Bridge Group in Portland, Maine . In this role, you will contribute primarily in bridge design projects and join a growing New England Region.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assist with conceptual, preliminary, and detailed final design of new bridges. Independently be able to perform these tasks for basic structures or propose solutions for more complex structures.
Perform assessment and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.
Perform and check Load Rating of existing bridges.
Provide guidance to entry level Engineers.
Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex bridges and other structures.
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight project schedules with little supervision.
Preparation of bridge plans, technical specifications, technical reports, design calculations, and provisions of construction phase services.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with four (4) years of experience, primarily in bridge design
Structural Engineer with two (2) years of project experience with MaineDOT and/or other State DOT’s
Six (6) years of bridge design experience
Current P.E. license in ME and/or surrounding states
Well versed in modern structural, analytical and design software packages
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Strong technical skills and ability to provide technical leadership
