Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Offshore Wind Environmental Compliance Observer. This is a part time remote position, but the field work is in a vessel on the Atlantic Ocean deploying from Boston, MA, New York, NY and Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to the following:
Performs standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures.
Detects problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.
Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.
Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
Works under general supervision.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in environmental science, biology, geology, or a related field +2 years as a field environmental inspector and/or field natural resource scientist with construction oversight experience and/or education.
Valid Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
Due to the nature of work US Citizenship is Required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of prior experience as a field environmental inspector and/or field natural resource scientist with construction oversight experience.
The ability to work extended hours and at times overnight construction is desirable.
Offshore ECMs that have offshore survey/safety certifications also desirable.

Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is: $23 - $40/ Hr.
Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $23 - $40/ Hr.
Offered rate of compensation (Washington, DC) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is: $23 - $40/ Hr.
