AECOM Construction Project Manager II in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Management, Construction Inspection Project Manager for immediate employment to be based out of AECOM‘s Pittsburgh, PA Office. Projects will include water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and maintain client relationships for Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority (PWSA), Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) and other significant water utilities in the Greater Pittsburgh region.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:

  • Provide a variety of construction-related services for the Water business including reviewing contract terms and conditions, constructability and value engineering, construction estimating and scheduling, reviewing construction RFIs, resolving contract changes, and providing quality assurance, control and inspection services.

  • Managing a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.

  • Consistently deliver projects to meet planned profit, schedule and quality.

  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.

  • Mentor and provide guidance for Construction Management and Inspection staff.

  • Facilitate new project pursuits for water and wastewater construction services.

  • Handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and be able to work independently.

  • Candidates must be knowledgeable of Pennsylvania water and construction management issues and trends and possess a proven track record in delivering construction services for large-scale water projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management or two (2) years of Construction Management Service with Qualified CM Firm

  • Two (2) years of experience in infrastructure construction planning and Construction Management processes and procedures, estimating, bidding, scheduling, cost and quality control, safety, disputes avoidance and management, and risk management

  • Client relationship development and management experience

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Able to travel up three days per month

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction Manager Certification Institute's (CMCI) Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

  • Five (5) years of experience in Water infrastructure construction planning and Construction Management processes, procedures, and estimating

  • Demonstrated experience in business development

  • Project Management Professional or training in project management

  • Experience with Electronic Project Management Software such as eBuilder or EPM
