Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a driven, attentive Construction Engineering Representative for immediate employment in Pittsburgh, PA to join AECOM’s Class I Railroad Team. This role will include construction inspection work on several concurrent projects impacting Railroad property in the general Pittsburgh area.
Please note: this role will also fluctuate from 30 to 40 hours at times dependent on client needs.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
Will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Will work under general supervision to deliver our scope of services to the freight railroad client.
Will monitor conformance to railroad specifications and/or approved work plans by performing inspection duties.
Will perform field inspections responsible for maintaining accurate project records and being accountable for successful and timely delivery of project documentation (i.e., field reports and meeting minutes) while upholding the quality standards of AECOM and the client.
Will coordinate with Public Improvement project sponsors, contractors, and client personnel to help deliver our scope of services to the client.
Will interact with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of track, structures, geotechnical, signals, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and civil engineers, and scientists.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field OR High School Diploma with 2 Years of Relevant Experience
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
Experience with Microsoft Office tools and ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
NICET Certification
Freight Railroad experience
Construction experience
Highway & Bridge experience
