Job Summary
AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a creative, highly talented Water / Wastewater Senior Project Manager for immediate employment to be based out of one of the following AECOM Offices: Piscataway, NJ, Clifton, NJ or New York, NY. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in municipal infrastructure market specializing in wastewater collection, conveyance and treatment; water distribution and treatment; storm water conveyance system; green infrastructure design and performance monitoring; combined systems planning, separation design, treatment and performance monitoring. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful group that offers a diverse range of technical challenges and career development opportunities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Managing a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
Manages more complex clients and projects.
Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree of Science in engineering
6+ years’ experience in municipal Water / Wastewater market
Licensed PE
Demonstrated experience in business development
Demonstrated experience in managing complex municipal Water / Wastewater projects in excess of $10M
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with business and contractual agreements
Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal, negotiating, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Proficient in common desktop packages, i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project, SalesForce
Motivated, team player, independent, organized
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Water /Wastewater Engineering
10+ years’ experience in municipal infrastructure market
Knowledge of major electrical systems is a plus
