AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer for employment in the Piscataway, NJ office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform field inspections

  • Perform engineering calculations related to settlement, pile capacity, and support of excavations

  • Lead/manage geotechnical engineering investigations

  • Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and construction documents

  • Assist in business development efforts, preparation of proposals and cost estimates

  • Work under the general supervision of a Senior Engineer

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Has competent analysis/design experience with slope stability, retaining walls, shallow and deep foundations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to work in a team/inter-disciplinary environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in NJ and/or NY

  • Strong computer skills including extensive knowledge of technical software; PLAXIS preferred
