AECOM Construction Resident Engineer in Piscataway, New Jersey

AECOM is seeking Resident Engineers with experience on Highway/Bridge projects to lead construction field management activities and manage Construction Management (CM) teams on NJ projects.
Provide oversight of the field construction inspectors during the project construction phase including; preparation of inspectors' daily work schedules, ensuring site safety monitoring, technical oversight, quality of construction, and Client satisfaction. Accountable for the planning, coordination and inspection, and construction management activities and assignments of all direct reporting staff to ensure efficient utilization of staffing.
Ability to balance work in the project office with the senior management team and also provide supervision of the field inspection teams working nights and weekends.
Interface with contractors to ensure coordination of construction activities in a timely manner to meet aggressive project schedules.
Ability to evaluate, resolve and provide solutions to contractors and construction inspectors for constructability issues encountered at construction sites.
Experience in the evaluation and validation of contractors' change order requests against contract documents and ability to ascertain schedule impacts and make recommendations.

- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline and 8 years of related experience with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibilities and authority in similar project environments or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Ten (10) years of experience in resident engineering, construction management, project management, engineering, and related fields.
Knowledge and experience in performing inspection and resident engineering activities on highway bridge-related projects, construction site safety standards, operational requirements, and agency procedures.
Excellent written communications and presentation abilities in internal project settings with, the senior management team external project stakeholders including senior client management leadership.
Excellent interpersonal skills, staff supervision, strong conflict resolution abilities.
