The Transportation division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Inspector NICET III for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and understand contract plans and specifications

  • Inspect contractors work operations for compliance with plans and specifications

  • Perform field measurements and record daily quantities and complete field reports

  • Perform field inspections under limited supervisor oversight

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • 5+ years of inspection experience post NICET certified date

  • Bridge inspection experience should include foundations (drilled shafts and steel piles), pier forming and re-steel placement, formwork and HPC concrete deck construction

  • Roadway inspection experience should include oversight of roadway milling and HMA paving, earthwork, drainage systems, utilities, traffic control, and roadway full depth replacement

  • NICET Level III Certification in Highway Construction

  • NJ Society of Asphalt Technicians Certification (NJSAT)

  • Rutgers Traffic Control Coordinator Certification

  • American Concrete Institute Grade I Certification

  • American Concrete Institute Grade Concrete Construction Technology Course (CCTC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience in bridge substructure and superstructure repair on both fixed and moveable bridges a plus. Projects with a construction value over $3,000,000 a plus

  • Direct experience with NJ Dept. of Transportation or NJ Turnpike projects
