AECOM Water Resources Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to be based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Summary:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze hydrology and hydraulics including 2-D modeling, stormwater management, floodplain mapping, roadway drainage, green infrastructure / low impact development, and river restoration.

  • Experience with design of drainage facilities (stormwater management, drainage master planning, dams, levees, floodplain mapping, roadway drainage, etc.)

  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Hydrology, or related field

  • Two (2) years or more of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four (4) years or more of relevant experience

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Federal Water programs (FEMA, USACE, NRCS)

  • Experience with analysis/design/management in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics using 2-D modeling, stormwater management, drainage master planning, dams and levees, floodplain mapping, roadway drainage and bridge hydraulics, and river restoration

  • Experience using CAD platforms to create plans (i.e., Civil3D, MicroStation, Open Roads, etc.)

  • Experience using ArcGIS to analyze data and develop maps and figures, etc.

  • PE Certification

  • Relocation is not available for this position.

  • Local travel is required for this position.
