Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer IV to be based in Phoenix, Arizona or Tucson, Arizona.
Job Responsibilities:
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team. Analyzes complex technical issues and guides solutions to challenging issues within a team within their function, business unit or technical discipline, using standard operating procedures/methodologies as a basis and defining new procedures and methods as needed
Leads proposal efforts for geotechnical engineering services including scope, schedule and budget.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Mentoring and technical development of Geotechnical staff. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Develops the Engineers cost estimates for projects.
Project Manager for Geotechnical projects or Geotechnical component of large projects – in charge of tracking scope, schedule and budget
Business development for new and existing clients
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering
6+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PE license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology preferred.
12+ years of related experience in Geotechnical Engineering projects.
Solid understanding of performing and managing field work
Ability to manage projects within budget, scope & schedule as well as effectively managing engineering staff as assigned.
The ability to work well within a team
