Position Title Senior Construction Inspector

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Construction Inspector for immediate employment for the Phoenix, AZ office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day inspection and quality assurance of projects with minimal supervision.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Collect information from various sources to fully understand and enforce contract documents such as standard specifications, plans, and special provisions
Perform and check the accuracy of complex computations including those performed by other staff
Analyze the contractor schedule to plan out the inspection of projects in their entirety
Attend/Conduct pre-activity meetings for various construction activities such as asphaltic concrete, PCCP, striping and major structures
Prepare daily diaries including description of contractor work activities and will be responsible to perform various measurements for payment
Gather data, measurements to be used in the inspection and quality assurance of various construction activities
Observe work in progress to ensure conformity with engineering specifications
Use prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment
Will require minimum supervision while performing repetitive tasks
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in related field inspector position
Basic knowledge of construction practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Valid Driver's License
Shall possess the ability to work and communicate well with others in a construction setting
Has the ability to perform basic computations and calculations
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment background check
Previous Municipalities local City/ADOT experience
