Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Resident Construction Project Manager to be located on-site near Bagdad, AZ . This candidate will be required to work remotely in the field and field offices.
Roles & Responsibilities
Directs and manages the entire project, guidance to support staff and field engineers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and the client.
Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
Work closely with Field Team and multiple contractors in all aspects of construction from planning through closeout
Monitor Contractors’ activities and conformance with Contract Documents
Oversee the overall Quality Assurance for construction activities and work products
Have experience with MS Office (Excel, Word & Project), Procore, and SharePoint
Conduct reviews and provide recommendations to the SCM on contract disputes, schedule variances, change orders, liquidated damages, etc
Support all facets of construction including:
Working with the public, Field Team on claims, disputes, and implement resolution
Contractor invoicing, including review, recommendation, tracking
Track property claims & warranty
RFI/Submittal review, QA, tracking, and recommendations
Coordinate with local agencies and municipalities, including several City & County of Denver departments and other outside agencies
Support risk analysis/mitigation and lessons learned
Field Work
Daily interaction and support of Field Team
Coordination with client’s field Operations & Maintenance staff
Support Field Team with Contractor job site meetings, weekly progress meetings, quality reviews, scheduling
In conjunction with Field Team, maintain the QADL (Quality Assurance Deficiency Log) based on the Contractors’ non-compliance of work
Training of Field Team (monthly, annual, and specific)
Emergency Response
Responsible for Emergency Response Plan and being the main point of contact for off-hour emergencies. This requires 24-hour on-call availability
Safety
Perform Field Safety Audits in coordination with Regional HSE Manager
Implement and update Program Health, Safety & Environment requirements
Support Field Team with all aspects of safety including training and PPE
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications
Skills/Experience (Including any required Certifications):
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field
15+ years' experience of providing construction oversight, quality assurance, and field engineering
Track record of developing and maintaining client relationships
Experience in successful leadership of diverse field teams
Experience with geotechnical/geological investigation, evaluation, recommendations and construction
Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency and attention to detail with track record of high quality work products
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
Strong personal safety awareness
Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility
Experience with and ability to make informed decisions regarding drilling, field investigations, and construction
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience with field materials testing and soils and concrete laboratory testing
Experience with construction and/or field investigations of tailings dams and mining experience
Experience with large earth moving construction

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The target salary range for this position is $130,000 - $200,000.00 annual.
