AECOM Traffic Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a Traffic Engineer for immediate employment in our eastern Pennsylvania offices (Philadelphia or Conshohocken).

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work as part of a team and also independently in evaluating and applying traffic engineering principles, standards, and criteria

  • Utilize various design software/tools (Synchro, HCS, Sidra, and/or VISSIM) for traffic analysis for a variety of conditions

  • Assist in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) packages based upon agency standards and specifications

  • Interact with clients at project meetings

  • Adhere to project schedules and budgets in coordination with task leaders

  • Prepare technical reports and papers for clients and/or internal distribution

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • Traffic engineering studies/analysis experience, as well as experience with state DOTs (preferably Pennsylvania and Delaware)

  • P.E. License (preferably PA or DE) preferred, EIT required

  • Traffic signal design experience

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Traffic modeling experience (VISSIM preferred)

  • Project experience with the City of Philadelphia and/or the PA Turnpike
