AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Rail/Transit Engineer to join our World Class Rail Team in Philadelphia PA ! Our established track team engages and works side by side with career rail professionals throughout the US to deliver projects for both transit and freight clients. This position offers opportunity to contribute to heavy rail, light rail transit, commuter rail, intercity passenger rail, and freight rail projects of all sizes from planning through final design and construction. The team utilizes the latest software to deliver fast-paced, multi-discipline designs to meet the unique needs of a diverse pool of clients.

This is a hybrid office and remote position, and a fully remote position could be considered for non-local candidates.
Typical duties and responsibilities:
Will act as senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepare technical specification sections.
Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

BS/BA plus six or more years of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
Must possess a valid driver's license plus good driving record
Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure
Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
Familiarity with freight or transit rail and clients
Previous work experience in rail design or construction is preferred
