AECOM Project Controls Sr Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Controls Sr Manager for employment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office to support nationwide infrastructure program.

The Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is responsible for bringing Amtrak stations into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADASP implements design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak’s intercity rail transportation system. This position will be part of a Joint Venture (AECOM & Jacobs) that is providing staff and services to Amtrak.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with project/program leadership and controls teams to develop integrated master schedule, master risk register and project budget baseline using standard tools

  • Collect ongoing performance data such as installed quantities, expended labor, and other progress measurement data

  • Track potential changes, ensuring estimates of cost and schedule changes

  • Develop reporting mechanisms, dashboards and presentations about project performance indicators and feed this data to ensure a cohesive picture of the program and/or portfolio

  • Develop the schedule’s work breakdown structure, activity coding, logic sequencing and resource definitions

  • Analyze critical path and constraints

  • Maintain confidentially of program and proprietary information

  • Contribute to the overall program development by participating in project discussions

  • Meet with project managers & department leaders weekly to discuss activity status

  • Track program deliverables in database, seek updates from project managers and review update logic

  • Prepare status reports for high level reporting to various stakeholders

  • Support the development of annual & five-year plans

  • Assist Joint Venture manager in hosting program and break-out meetings

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership, project controls experience in the construction industry

  • Demonstrated project controls, schedule skills (schedule management, schedule reporting) & financial skills (budget management, financial reporting)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

  • PMP, Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6, Primavera Unifier and Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite
