Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Global Bid/Marketing Manager. Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Senior Bid/Proposals and Marketing professional to join our team in a role with global reach, working with some of the best companies in the world today. The Global Marketing/Bid Manager will function in a three-fold role focusing on AECOM's tech and logistics clients, specifically. They will be responsible for:

  • Leading winning proposals of AECOM service offerings to some of the most high-profile, innovative tech and logistics companies in the world;

  • Function as an internal, “global proposals consultant”: this person will provide coaching, guidance and advisory services to international teams spanning different business lines and regions on proposals going out to these same tech and logistics companies who are AECOM clients;

  • This person will be a part of the strategic marketing team and also function as a marketing subject matter expert on tech and logistics client marketing materials and collateral.

Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

As part of the Global Technology Sector team, serves as a senior proposal manager to assist winning work across business lines (BL) and regions.

Collaborates with regional and BL teams on identified priority pursuits and client engagement activities, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), shortlist interviews, and pre-solicitation efforts.

Coordinates with global marketing and proposal management resources to ensure that proposal development efforts are adequately resourced.

Ensures consistency of client-facing proposal and marketing material across all regions and BLs.

Accountable for timely, compliant, accurate, and persuasive proposal development and leadership.

Knowledge management for Global Technology Sector proposal and marketing materials.

Proposal Management and Development

Responsible for leading large, complex, priority must-win pursuits from capture through to interview stage, as required and often includes multiple disciplines/BLs/geographies.

Leads and contributes to the writing of proposal sections such as cover letters, executive summaries, past performance sections, management approaches, and resumes/staffing sections.

Participates actively in Go/No-Go, capture strategies and greenlight analyses and drives compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities, providing leadership and direction, where required.

Serve as a reviewer on color reviews (pink and red teams) for priority pursuits, applying in-depth institutional knowledge. Analyzes debriefs and applies lessons learned to add value to strategy and reviews.

Supports debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvements.

Marketing

Serve as marketing lead and subject matter expert for the Tech and Logistics sector

Support marketing communications team to provide content development for the website, brochures, social media, other digital media and thought leadership in collaboration with Client

Account Managers (CAMs) or Market Sector Leaders

Knowledge and Information Management

Maintain repository of all global technology sector proposals and marketing materials.

Identify, organize, and coordinate with global marketing teams to ensure consistency of proposals and marketing materials

Conduct onboarding for marketing teams that are new to the

technology sector.

Staff Leadership and Development

Leads special projects involving teams of BL or multiple BLs staff, as directed by BL Marketing Director.

May serve as an active mentor to marketing coordinator/specialist(s)

Knowledge and Information Management

Maintain repository of all global technology sector proposals and marketing materials.

Identify, organize, and coordinate with global marketing teams to ensure consistency of proposals and marketing materials

Conduct onboarding for marketing teams that are new to the technology sector.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS, preferably in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related field plus8 years of related experience as a senior proposal manager or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree preferably in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related field

  • Consulting industry knowledge preferred

  • Limited travel to meet training and project requirements may be required, provided safe to do so.

  • Person may occasionally be required to work different shifts in order to support teams spanning various regions and time-zones of the world
