AECOM Senior Structural Engineer in Perth, Australia

Job Summary

As a result of a significant project pipeline, AECOM’s Mining and Industrial team has upcoming opportunities for experienced Structural Engineers to support the successful completion of a range of projects across the ANZ region.

Working as part of a dynamic, consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of large multidisciplinary projects within the Mining and Industrial sectors.

Our team of industry experts and network of technical specialists will support the development of your technical and project management capabilities, giving you the opportunity to work across all project phases from studies through to detailed engineering and execution. Working across mining, minerals processing, chemicals and refineries will give you a broad exposure and help build your career.

We are open to applications from suitable candidates preferring fixed term contracts (between 6-12 months) or permanent employment.

Minimum Requirements

As a Structural Engineer in our Mining & Industrial team, you will have;

  • Confidence as an intermediate to senior level Structural Engineer, with recent relevant project experience with major mining, heavy industry or industrial operations and projects;

  • Prior project engagement across either mining infrastructure, material handling or heavy industry sectors such as refineries, strongly preferred;

  • Knowledge or exposure to study phases, Australian engineering standards, frameworks and procedures across project lifecycle (initiation-execution);

  • Confident communication technique with an ability to coordinate and operate across complex stakeholder groups;

  • Proven ability to mentor junior technical professionals and graduates while working effectively in a collaborative team environment;

  • Experience in the design and specification of structural engineering projects within a consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary degree in Civil / structural engineering

  • Eligible or Chartered member of Engineers Australia

  • 6-12 years’ experience in structural engineering analysis and design and using structural analysis software with a strong technical capability and report writing skills.
