AECOM Senior Marine Structural Engineer in Perth, Australia

Job Summary

AECOM’s Ports & Marine Group successful and rapid growth has created an opportunity for a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to join the talented team based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. Our Ports & Marine division are a highly specialised team of engineering professionals that provide unique project scope and abilities within the national Civil & infrastructure business. This role will have you involved in specialised marine projects partnering with major blue-chip clients across the country and you will play a significant part in contributing to the first-class delivery of marine structure projects.

Working in a global organisation with industry specialists, you will have exposure to a wide range of projects that AECOM continue to be awarded. Our keen focus on enabling digital capability and the collaborative nature of our organisation will enable you to have the opportunity to not only work on local projects, but also contribute to projects across throughout WA and across the country.

In order to continue to grow and strengthen our team, your strong technical capability will be drawn upon to assist on various projects, help mentor junior engineers but you’ll also be able to learn from the creative and more experienced engineers in this well respected team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Substantial experience in structural engineering in marine structures such as

  • Wharf and Jetty design

  • Demonstrated experience in producing structural steel and reinforced concrete design for small to medium maritime projects

  • Proven ability to model the structures in SpaceGass and Strand 7

  • Experience in Wharf and Jetty refurbishment design is advantageous

  • Consulting experience highly regarded

  • Strict focus on quality and adheres with system process requirements.

  • Strong team focus, willing to support and mentor other team members.

Preferred Qualifications

Recognised qualification (Associate Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering Technology or equivalent).
