Job Description

Our WA Environment Business has a fantastic career opportunity for a highly experienced practitioner to join our Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) Team in Perth. Reporting to the Work Group Lead, this role will see you providing technical leadership and oversight within our group, with a particular focus on transport sector major projects.

Our IAP Technical Practice covers a range of service offerings within the Environment Business Line including obtaining Statutory Environmental Approvals, undertaking environmental constraints analysis, auditing, environmental compliance and environmental impact assessment. The IAP team is also responsible for implementing marine and terrestrial field surveys required to inform EIA process.

As a director and senior member of our team, you will provide technical leadership and innovation, driving the strategic development and continued growth of our business. Utilising your strong client relationships and significant experience in the industry, your focus will be on supporting development and training of leading-edge technical skills and building the technical capability of our team.

Your exceptional understanding of how EIA applies to the transport sector and demonstrated experience managing environmental compliance on large scale transport construction projects, will enable you to play a critical role in the continued growth of our business.

AECOM has a strong track record in providing environmental services on major Alliance and D&C transport projects, with roles on the Great Eastern highway Bypass Interchanges, Bunbury Outer Ring Road, Armadale Level Crossing Removals and Metronet projects. This role will build on our capacity to provide services to a strong pipeline of transport projects across Western Australia.

This role is suited to an experienced Associate or Technical Director who is looking to diversify their experience working for a global organization. If you are an engaging and innovative Environmental Practitioner at Principal level who is looking to take the next step in their career we also want to hear from you!

About You

  • Significant, relevant experience managing complex projects

  • Detailed understanding of transport infrastructure approvals and delivery

  • Demonstrated consulting experience in delivering transport sector major projects

  • Ability to critically review IAP deliverables and provide constructive feedback on technical accuracy and written quality

  • Strong Focus on technical excellence and service delivery
