AECOM Senior Project Surveyor in Oxford, United Kingdom

Job Summary

About Our Team:

Our Oxford office is currently seeking a full-time Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a variety of projects in and around Oxfordshire and London from £1m to £50m+.  These projects are in a range of sectors that include Higher Education, Schools, Residential, Infrastructure, Science and Healthcare.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cost Planning: Area Schedules, Measurement of Quantities and entry onto Estimating software, Cost planning, Presenting Cost plan.

  • Tender Documentation: BQ/Pricing Schedule Measurement, Preliminaries/Appendices,

  • Tender Evaluation: Review and Analysis of Tenders, Tender Reports.

  • Feasibility Estimates.

  • Value Engineering and Commercial Awareness.

  • Risk Management.

  • Post Contract Cost Management: Preparation of Valuations, Final Accounts, Cost Reporting, Change Control.

  • Contract Procurement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.

  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.

  • Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.

  • Understanding of JCT and NEC standard forms of contract.

  • Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Residential, Commercial, Education, Data Centre, sector experience would be advantageous.

  • Ability to manage relationships effectively, identifying and resolving issues at the earliest possible opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing bid submissions.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.

  • Experience in managing in-house project finances.

  • APC supervisor/counsellor experience.

  • STEM ambassador with connections at local schools, colleges and universities.
