As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to work with an Associate or Project Director to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception and business case development, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.
Lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery
Provide oversight / strategic guidance / audit & review, to a portfolio of projects being led within the cost centre
Provide effective support to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time
Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team
Seek out business development opportunities with existing and new clients including identifying and acting upon cross- selling opportunities
Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing)
Provide leadership within the project management business and provide leadership and mentoring to the team
Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training
Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards
Co-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by project management teams prior to issue
To 'win' clients through strong business development skills
Management of tender documents, appraisals and negotiations Minimum Requirements.
Manages one or more very complex project, involving a combination of the following:
Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,
Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,
Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
Manages other Project Managers.
Extensive project experience.
Experienced in a Client management role - Able to manage the account in terms of projects that are 'live', plus seeking new opportunities.
Experience as a manager in a comparative business;
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Highly motivated and with excellent industry network;
Possess the ability to work across service lines (a track record of cross selling would be useful)
Commercial experience is essential along with a proven track record of winning and retaining new Clients
Good understanding of contracts
5-10 years Post Grad Experience
Professional Qualified - ideally Project Management / Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying Degree
Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution
APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
