AECOM are currently seeking a project Quantity Surveyor to be based in our Oxford office where you will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service for large, high profile and exciting key Clients in the Health, Science, Tertiary education and Residential sectors.
As a Project QS, you will work as part of the team to help deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from the inception of a project through to completion. You will work on a number of projects, varying in complexity, ranging in value from £5m – £500m.
Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Cost Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team. They should:
Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.
Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
Provide full Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.
Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients.
Understanding of JCT and NEC standard forms of contract.
Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.
Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
Active member of local networking groups.
APC supervisor/counsellor experience.
