Job Description

AECOM is seeking Remote Senior EHS Compliance Auditors/Assistant EHS Team Leaders. The selected candidate will join AECOM’s EHS & Air practice within the Environment Business Line. The Senior EHS Compliance Auditor will primarily focus on supporting clients by executing environmental consulting services and regulatory compliance audits. This position reports to our Orlando, FL office.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct EHS compliance and management system audits.

  • Plan, participate, and lead EHS audits.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training to industrial clients.

  • Provide mentoring, guidance and coaching to new or less-experienced staff.

  • Build and maintain effective client relationships.

  • Grow existing business base through client outreach and professional relationships.

  • Develop effective business presentations and proposals for providing competitive, high-value EHS auditing services.

  • Manage multiple complex projects within scope, budget, quality criteria and schedule.

  • Provide detailed regulatory interpretation of EHS laws and regulations to our clients and develop compliance strategies.

  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging USEPA, OSHA, and state EHS regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 10 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience conducting EHS regulatory compliance audit fieldwork.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean diving record.

  • Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

  • Ability to travel 50% to 80%.

Preferred Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of County, State, and Federal EHS regulations and consensus standards, including:

  • Clean Air Act (CAA) – emission inventories, permitting requirements, RMP, PSD, MACT, NSPS, ODS, GHG, and compliance assessments.

  • Clean Water Act (CWA) – NPDES and Indirect Discharge permitting and compliance.

  • Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) – CWS, NTNCWS permitting and compliance.

  • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) – waste classification, management, and reporting.

  • Oil Pollution Act (OPA) - SPCC Plans and FRP.

  • Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) – inventory evaluation, Tier II and Form R reporting.

  • Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA);

  • Federal Insecticide, Fungicide & Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).

  • Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA); and

  • OSHA Compliance – 29 CFR 1910.

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in engineering, physical sciences, safety, or related field.

  • 10 years of EHS experience in a consulting, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or refining industry.

  • Experience in managing EHS programs, compliance audits and compliance program evaluations.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training to industrial clients.

  • Professional certification - CPEA, PE, CSP, CIH, or other equivalent certification.

  • Experience with CFATS, DOT, REACH, ISO/RC 14001, and ISO 45001.

  • Experience conducting Process Safety Management audits.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven leadership and management skills.

  • Proven success in business development for EHS programs
