Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Emergency Manager for immediate employment in the Orlando, FL area.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with response to disasters

  • Customer service experience

  • Participates in and manages a team in the call center providing assistance to public after a disaster

  • Provides administrative support and leadership presence amongst call center team daily

  • Establishes and maintains policies & procedures for the call center daily activities

  • Prepares training materials & scripts and leads training sessions for the call center staff

  • Reviews and reports call center activity and results daily

  • Develops plans for future outbound calling initiatives to help aid the public after a disaster

  • Monitors and provides business solutions for a wide range of projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field

  • 5+ years of call center experience (with 2 yrs being in management)

  • Experience working in post-disaster environment

  • Willing to travel with short notice

  • Good communications skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Empathy for those affected by disasters

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification

  • Disaster relief call center experience

  • Experience with emergency preparedness guidelines in NDRF
