Job Summary

AECOM National Governments Business Line is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to be the Federal Market Sector for the Buildings & Places Programs. This is a strategic market and focus area for AECOM for business development to drive growth in federal programs. The Federal B+P Market Sector Leader will be responsible for market analysis, strategy development, positioning, capture and management of key growth areas in the federal market. This includes development and execution of actionable plans to achieve strategic objectives.

This person will lead the Federal Market for AECOM's Buildings + Places as part of the National Governments business line. Services include workplace strategy, economic and development planning, master planning, urban planning, architecture, interiors, building engineering, and landscape architecture. Federal Market Sector for the Buildings & Places Leader will provide leadership across multiple business lines and build effective teams, inspire team performance, robustly communicate, and manage/drive growth and strategies to grow this program to a $250M/year target. They will be expected to demonstrate the passion, vision, and ability to plan, drive strategies and initiatives with others, and contribute positively and inspiring efforts on the national strategies and teamwork required in the National Governments business line. This position will report to the Practice Leader of the National Governments Business Line in DCS Americas. In addition, this role will provide leadership across multiple Business lines, primarily with the Buildings + Places Business line (Architecture, Engineering, and Planning). Programs will be coordinated in collaboration with the Environmental, Water, Power, and PM/CM Business lines as well as Managements Services (i.e. Operations and Maintenance) and Construction Services.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Works independently to direct, establish, maintain and plan the overall policies and goals for an account management group or office.

  • Responsible for developing and guiding new project opportunities that will ensure sustained profit growth within the business unit.

  • Has significant prior business experience supporting the development of proposals.

  • May direct the activities of employees dedicated to attaining large contracts or business of significant financial impact.

  • Has extensive knowledge of the business to support cross-discipline, business line, and region collaboration.

  • Generally has hands-on cost proposal development.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 12 YORE

  • AA/AS (US) + 14 YORE

  • Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 14 YORE

  • HS/GED + 16 YORE;

  • all including a minimum of four years of leadership
