AECOM Buildings and Places is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Level Designer, Federal projects for immediate employment. The Senior Designer, specializing in Federal projects, is expected to lead projects and oversee the design process for a wide range of project types and sizes. The role would be dedicated to design excellence through an integrated approach to creative problem-solving. In this role, you are a team leader and will have the opportunity to lead not only from a project perspective, but from a team and culture standpoint. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive.
Revit and BIM required as well as experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
Experience in construction documents
Ability to lead integrated design teams of varying sizes to accomplish project delivery from concept through construction document completion and may perform construction administration
Confidence in working in a complex environment
Engaged, inquisitive and highly collaborative
Empathy for great design and attention to detail
Strategic and critical thinking
Analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving

Professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Master’s degree in Architecture with 7+ years of relevant experience in design, rendering and resolving technical issues or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
10+ years of relevant experience
Led design on Federal projects of varying complexity within the last 10 years.in an project architect role
DoD, Army Corp of Engineers, and Federal Civilian experience
Varying project types to include XXX, XXXheadquarters, vehicle maintenance, training facilities, base support (gym, entry control, warehouse…)
Experience on Federal Design Build projects
Ability to be client facing and lead client discussions and charrettes
Proficiency with UFCs and other federal criteria
Relocation benefits are available
Security Clearance not required, but preferred
