Job Summary
AECOM Buildings and Places is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Level Designer, Federal projects for immediate employment. The Senior Designer, specializing in Federal projects, is expected to lead projects and oversee the design process for a wide range of project types and sizes. The role would be dedicated to design excellence through an integrated approach to creative problem-solving. In this role, you are a team leader and will have the opportunity to lead not only from a project perspective, but from a team and culture standpoint. Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
Led design on Federal projects of varying complexity within the last 10 years.in an project architect role
Experience in design, rendering and resolving technical issues
DoD, Army Corp of Engineers, and Federal Civilian experience
Varying project types to include headquarters, vehicle maintenance, training facilities, base support (gym, entry control, warehouse…)
Experience on Federal Design Build projects
Ability to be client facing and lead client discussions and charrettes
Proficiency with UFCs and other federal criteria
NCARB Certified
Registered Architect
Revit and BIM required as well as experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
Experience in construction documents
Security Clearance not required, but preferred
Ability to lead integrated design teams of varying sizes to accomplish project delivery from concept through construction document completion and may perform construction administration
Confidence in working in a complex environment
Empathy for great design and attention to detail
Strategic and critical thinking
Analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving
