AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager/Geologist for employment within our Environmental Remediation Practices group in the Orange, CA office to support soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in environmental project management and environmental and remediation system field data collection including drilling, soil logging, well installation and soil, groundwater and vapor sample collection.
In addition, the candidate will have experience in data management and technical report production. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.
Tasks will include:
Manage environmental remediation projects
Manage field-based tasks of environmental investigation and remediation programs.
Project Management tasks including budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking.
Data management, evaluation and report writing with experience drafting environmental investigation and closure reports.
Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Soil Scientist, or closely related field
6+ years of experience in environmental consulting and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid driver's license
Due to nature of work, US citizenship is a requirement.
8+ years of experience in environmental consulting
2+ years of project management experience
Strong technical writing skills
40-Hour HAZWOPER training
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $149,000.
