Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Engineer for immediate employment for the Ontario, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Lead engineering design team and execute tasks needed for transportation projects

  • Prepare project layout plans, grading, drainage, and details

  • Frequent use of CAD and other design software in performing design activities

  • Work with team members to develop project documents including plans, cost estimates, and reports

  • Use of design standards and manuals in developing engineering solutions

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

  • 10+ years' experience

  • PE Civil license for California

  • CAD skills with either Autocad or Microstation

  • Ability to prepare engineering design reports, construction plans, and contract documents / technical specifications

  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians

  • Skills to coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and outside agencies

  • Detail oriented

  • Sound judgement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with transportation agencies in southern California

  • Proficient with AutoCad/Civil 3D or Microstation/InRoads

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Some experience in preparing technical features for proposals

  • Possession of leadership skills to guide a design team with limited direction and guidance
