Position Title Senior Electrical Engineer

We have an exciting opening for a Senior Engineer to join our growing Power & Industrial engineering group. You will have a strong background in electrical power engineering and high voltage substation design for Transmission and Distribution power systems. The successful candidate is expected to be a detail orientated yet efficient, experienced engineer who can make decisions independently. You will also be expected to provide some level of leadership for the other electrical and controls engineers in our Power group and assistance in the growth of the business.
You will be primarily responsible for:
Performing Power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash analysis)
Developing protective relay settings and calculations
Developing control system layouts
One line and three line diagrams
Protective relay and metering one line / three line diagrams
Equipment layouts and sectional views
Bill of Materials
DC power distribution design
Developing construction and equipment specifications
Supporting projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning
Grounding Analysis and Design
Reviewing engineering work performed by peers
Attending client meetings
10+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.), preferably in California
Strong familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, etc)
Strong written and verbal skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to learn new skills
Ability to take the lead and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel occasionally
SEL relay programming experience
AutoCAD/Microstation Drafting Experience
Substation physical design experience
Startup and Commissioning Field Experience
Power systems analysis software experience (SKM, EasyPower, Etap)
